HHA & Larsen's Castlemaine Rotary Truck Show
One of regional Australia's premier truck show events will be held in Castlemaine over the weekend of 25 & 26th November. Now in its 35th year, the HHA & Larsen's Castlemaine Rotary Truck Show is a popular event for the whole family with free children’s rides and entertainment on the ground commencing at noon on the Saturday and from 10.00am on the Sunday.
Live music on stage will feature award-winning singer and songwriter, Craig Lloyd, and Tamworth favourites Peter Coad & The Coad Sisters, plus other special guests sure to get the toes tapping.
Back by popular demand is the mini train for the little ones to ride along with a jumping castle, chair ride and face painting. As one happy parent said last year, “this is the best value family day out ever!”
Catering and a licensed bar are provided on the ground and of course there are many incredible trucks from all over Australia to view. You don’t have to be in the trucking industry to appreciate the pride and craftsmanship that goes into these vehicles that keep our stores stocked with products. A crowd favourite is the Sunday morning convoy that drives through the Castlemaine central business district at 9.00am.
For those who are in the industry, it is an important national event on the annual calendar. “This (Castlemaine) show produces the best trucks in the country and the people who support it set the benchmark in trucking," Jon Kelly from Heavy Haulage Assets said last year.
With the support of many sponsors and volunteers, this is Castlemaine Rotary’s major fundraiser for the year with proceeds going towards community projects and youth scholarships.
Spectator admission is $15 adults and children under 16 years free. Trucks are also welcome to enter for the chance of winning one of over 30 trophies on offer. See website for all information
