David Beer's Open Day
David has a huge collection of vintage agricultural equipment, trucks cars and memorabilia.
The open day ran from 9am until 3pm and was well attended with a very receptive crowd.
Local exercise enthusiast Nick Weaver fundraises for Relay for Life and David offered to run the open day to support his next fundraising effort. Total money raised was $4850 which came from the gate takings and the profit from the Carisbrook Lions Club BBQ.
The weather was perfect and there were oodles of flies.
Vintage tractor and car clubs attended with their own vehicles which added to the day's exhibition.
David arranged to have someone available to start up some vehicles at regular intervals which was a great sight. Working demonstrations of vintage and very rare tractors was another highlight.
Overall it resulted in an excellent day.
