Hino roadshow to wrap up in Canberra
The 2023 leg of the Hino Australia national roadshow is coming to a close, bringing an end to an around-Australia odyssey that started in 2022 and covered more than 130,000 kilometres. The 2023 roadshow travelled as far north as Mackay, as far south as Mt Gambier and even crossed the Nullarbor to Perth. The final stop will be Canberra this January.
For the second leg, which got underway in Townsville this past August, the focus was on rural and regional locations around the country, instead of the capitals and major centres.
“In 2022, we were proud to bring our range of next-generation vehicles to over 500 customers as the roadshow travelled to various locations in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales,” said Richard Emery, Vice President of Brand and Franchise Development for Hino Australia.
“For Hino, it was important that our rural and regional customers were provided with the same opportunity to engage with and drive our trucks - as part of the roadshow’s 130,000 kilometre journey.”
The Hino roadshow will conclude in January in Canberra, and while the final itinerary was still to be confirmed at time of writing, it’s more than likely that Southern Truck Centre in Queanbeyan will be a stop on the final leg. Customers can engage with both static displays and personalised Hino driving opportunities on the roadshow.
While Hino head office has driven the roadshow initiative, dealers like Southern Truck Centre are heavily involved, too, handpicking the most appropriate trucks for their region and market from the Hino range of award-winning light, medium and heavy-duty on and off-road trucks.
A key focus on all stops for the second leg has been the heavy-duty 700 Series, which is the safest Hino truck ever and meets Euro 6 exhaust emission standards.
“With over 80 years of global experience in design and innovation, the roadshow is an opportunity for Hino to demonstrate our complete line-up of next-generation transport solutions and customer-focused support to our customers,” Emery concluded.
