Iveco continues partnership with MotoGP
Iveco has renewed its partnership with MotoGP, the global motorcycle racing championship, with the new deal seeing Iveco serve as the category’s official Truck Supplier until the end of 2026.
The previous deal with MotoGP series organisers, Dorna Sports, had endured for almost a decade. The new arrangement is for four years and will see Iveco supply a total of 14 vehicles for transportation of race equipment and hospitality materials to MotoGP rounds throughout Europe. Of the 21 rounds in this year’s MotoGP World Championship (the longest season ever), 10 are held in continental Europe.
Reflecting the logistical requirements of such an expansive season, the vehicle fleet supplied by Iveco is made up of 13 S-Way prime movers and one Daily light commercial, all of which are finished in a special white livery and customised with MotoGP and Iveco logos “to reflect a strong racing style typical of motorsport”.
Iveco also sponsors individual teams in the MotoGP World Championship, including Repsol Honda Team and Mooney VR46 Racing Team.
Following the unveiling of the new fleet at the Portimao circuit in Portugal, Luca Sra, President, Truck Business Unit, Iveco Group, said: “We are proud to support such an outstanding competition where leading-edge technology blends with unrivalled bravery and the courage to push beyond the limits. This sponsorship reflects the same energy underlying Iveco’s commitment to creating the best solutions to our customers’ needs and the fighting passion that drives us to strive for excellence every day."
Marc Saurina, Head of Global Commercial Partnerships, Dorna Sports, added: “It’s a pleasure for us to welcome Iveco back as a MotoGP partner. We know Iveco will provide the high level of reliable service required for this blockbuster new era, sharing the values and commitment that make MotoGP what it is – one of the greatest spectacles in sport.
“As part of this agreement, we also welcome Iveco to our corporate hospitality area, enabling them to offer worldwide MotoGP hospitality experiences in order to engage with different markets and make the most of this partnership with one of the world’s biggest motorsports.”
