Massive US tractor auction in April
This follows on from extremely successful Gone Farmin' auctions Mecum have hosted in the past. Mecum's main business has centred around classic, collectable and high performance car auctions, but Gone Farmin' has proved to be a very popular and successful sideline to the business.
Held at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, the extended two-day sale will feature nearly 250 restored and unrestored tractors spanning the 20th century along with hundreds of vintage signs and farm relics.
The auction headliner is a museum-worthy, one-of-a-kind high crop 1920 Samson Cane M tractor believed to be the first high crop tractor ever produced.
Also starring in the auction lineup is a group of more than 90 tractors hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, which comprise the collection of John Buchanan. Buchanan's unique assortment will cross the block Friday, April 5, featuring everything from professionally restored tractors to beautiful originals.
