Renault LCV sales boom in 2013
Renault LCVs have shown almost 90% sales growth year-on-year, after almost 100% growth in 2012.
According to Lyndon Healey, Renault LCV Model Line Manager, the 2013 final tally of 2,299 vehicles is a significant milestone for the brand.
"We have been focussed all year on satisfying the needs of Australian business customers with our product and our ownership offer, making it easy for businesses large and small, local or national to benefit from Renault LCV ownership," says Healey.
"Renault LCV has been working very hard to reach out to business customers across a very wide spectrum and we have been achieving good recognition with our message regarding reliability, durability, cost of ownership, and our growing range of vehicle solutions.
"In 2013 we added the very practical and versatile Master Rear-Wheel Drive range of vans and Cab/Chassis, and these, along with our popular Trafic mid-size vans have driven the growth.
"Looking into 2014, with a revised Kangoo range and more variants arriving, we can expect that compact van customers will be taking a close look at the value a Kangoo offers their business, from the standard wheelbase petrol, in manual or automatic, or the long wheelbase diesel, which we will expand very soon with a new option we expect to be extremely popular.
"Renault can produce more than 350 individual variations of the Master large van platform in France and so far we have only offered about a dozen or so. This will change in 2014 as we begin to reach out into new segments of the market.
"Renault LCV will continue to grow strongly in 2014 and we are confident that our sales and aftersales programme will be able to meet the needs of more and more Australian business buyers," Healey concludes.
