This truck was originally purchased by the Country Fire Authority Victoria (CFA) to be used as a tanker for the Dromana Fire Brigade. It was later sold and purchased by a collector in rural Victoria. It sat unrestored (but also unchanged) until the collector’s death in 2020. It was put up for auction as a deceased estate, where it was brought to the attention of the Dromana Fire Brigade. The CFA logo and “DROMANA” can still be clearly seen on the chassis. It was purchased for the Brigade with the intention of restoring it to it’s former glory as a fire tanker. Unfortunately there has not been the appetite within the Brigade membership to restore it, so it is now offered for sale to the public. I am told it runs and is mechanically sound. The body is as per the pictures. Inspections welcome at Dromana.
